What is no code ?

The no code is the possibility to create a solution without using a complex programming language. So if you are not a developer and you don't master Java and its various frameworks, the Python language, HTML, XML or CSS, there is nocode.

This method of web development allows companies to make a multitude of projects quickly and with favourable financial conditions. This concerns both basic mobile applications and more complex ones (such as e-commerce platforms or marketplaces). And above all, these solutions make it possible to respond to urgent needs.

Indeed, no code allows for many rapid iterations and facilitates the development of applications that are both responsive and interactive. Thanks to its low cost, no-code makes possible software development projects that were not economically viable.

It is the ideal intermediary between WordPress-type CMS and complex javascript code.

Some examples of no code

Given these benefits, the no-code ecosystem is growing.

And for good reason, some apps that use no-code are real success stories. For example :

  • Dividend is a platform offering financing to all green energy houses. In doing so, the company has raised $365 million.
  • Qoins helps households pay their loans and debts automatically. The platform raised $750K in a fundraising event.
  • Comet deal with agile IT freelancers.
  • Followup Edge automates lead generation across multiple channels. The platform generated $30K just 6 months after its launch.
  • There are also Shopify, Substack, Glide, Adalo and many others.

The example of Bubble.io

Amongst the tools for making no code we can mention Bubble.io. It is the premium solution for developing mobile applications.

The aim is to be hyper-reactive with greater agility, without having to resort to traditional investments to release a Saas platform.

The benefits of Bubble-io

Currently, it is the most flexible and powerful collaborative platform on the market at no code .

The main advantages are

  • Easy to use Bubble.io uses drag and drop to allow you to create interfaces. This way, all your collaborators (especially the designers) can make changes. With bubble.io, this is no longer just for developers.
  • Wide range of possibilities Bubble.io: although it is easy to use, the platform allows you to create complex workflows (such as ecommerce sites, social media, ...).
  • Data Thanks to an integrated database, you can keep track of the different template blocks. The aim is to use each block as a reference for creating web applications even faster. In addition, there is an integrated database (Postgre SQL) for the simulation phase.
  • API Bubble-io can connect to Rest APIs or expose an API in order to provide a varied and complete offer to your users.
  • Plugin Bubble.io benefits from a large ecosystem of plugins (over 1000) and a large community of developers.
  • Rapid iterations (front-end, workflow, data structure) ;

The disadvantages

However, there may be some disadvantages depending on the platforms chosen:

  • Tool dependency and limited portability (data can be extracted but not the code which only works on the platforms).
  • Server in the USA (unless dedicated server).
  • Performance for a large number of simultaneous users can be average
  • No native mobile version
